The film

Mattia is 27 and torn between the safe career his mother chose for him and a passion for photography he has buried. During a job interview, someone whispers to him not to follow his instinct.

Cinematography notes

Shooting vertical was a personal challenge. We come from horizontal cinema, used to telling stories across the width: in 9:16 every shot has to be rethought in height, and the space around Mattia tightens and closes in.
